Meet

Dr. Kutaiba Alzohaili

My journey in dentistry began when I was ten years old in Syria. A family friend who was a dentist let me spend my summers in his office, and I watched a patient who hadn't slept in days walk out free of pain. I understood then that dentistry isn't just about fixing a tooth. It's about giving someone back the ability to sleep, eat, and smile comfortably.

I studied dentistry at Damascus University and opened my own practice after graduating. Wanting to learn more, I moved to Saudi Arabia, where I practised for nearly 14 years and took advanced courses across Europe, the United States, and Canada, with a particular interest in implant and cosmetic dentistry. A mentor there taught me the principle I still practise by: see the whole picture, know your limits, and never ignore anything a patient needs.

Coming to Canada meant starting over. I completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada equivalency process, earned my Ontario licence, and built trust in a new community one patient at a time.

I live in Oakville, and I built Oakville Dental Studio for the community I've come to love. I designed the office myself, with 3D imaging, digital scanning, photography, and 3D printing in-house, so I can diagnose thoroughly and plan carefully. Just as important is how it feels. I chose the word "Studio" because I wanted a space that is calm and welcoming, not intimidating.

I also chose to see fewer patients, so there is time to listen, explain your options, and get to know you.

After more than 25 years, my reason for doing this hasn't changed. I like helping people. Seeing someone leave feeling better than when they came in still tells me I chose the right profession.
